I've read through all the old posts about how most T28's are the T25/T28 rebuild that are basically junk b/c they use the stock housings. I also read a couple posts that reference a *real* T28 being quite a good turbo. So, my question, is there any way (looking at the housing of the turbo while installed in the car) to determine whether it's a stock housing or a larger T28 housing? I am pondering buying a Z from a friend, and he didn't do the work on it himself. However, the person he purchased it from owns a lot of sports cars and may not have gone the cheapo route on upgrading the turbos, I am hoping there is a way to know for sure. Thanks!
